Man gets 81 total years for 106 criminal counts

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. — A Fishers man has been sentenced to 81 years — 65 of which are behind bars — after being found guilty on 106 criminal counts in August.

On Aug. 7, Akeenen Anton Lamar Hunt was sentenced to a combined 46-year sentence for 15 criminal counts in Hancock County Circuit Court. This meant that he was given 30 years in prison and an additional 16 years on probation. The crimes included charges of rape, kidnapping and several other felonies.

Now, he faces 35 additional years in prison on 106 criminal counts. 102 of these are for invasion of privacy (a misdemeanor), while the remaining four are for obstruction of justice (a Level 5 Felony), online court records show.

All of this comes from Hunt violating a no-contact order, reportedly contacting the victim of a previous case 118 times between Dec. 24, 2023 and Jan. 3, 2024.

“While this sentencing did not reach the level of consequence our office requested, we are thankful to keep another criminal off our streets,” Hancock County Prosecutor Brent Eaton said.
