SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Sarasota Police Department announced that the John Ringling Causeway was closed Thursday due to Hurricane Helene.
The north entrance to Siesta Key was also said to be closed.
As of this report, all city bridges have been shut down.
“It is not safe to be on the roads. We will update you when conditions improve and roadways reopen,” the police department said.
