MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Montgomery County police are investigating an attempted robbery turned stabbing Thursday afternoon.
The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said officers responded to the 12300 block of Georgia Avenue just before 3:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.

There, officers learned that the person who was stabbed was trying to rob another person who also had a knife. The robbery victim stabbed the attempted robber and got away without getting hurt.
The person stabbed has injuries that are not life-threatening.
