46-year-old man in critical condition after hit-and-run in Geddes

LIVERPOOL N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A man is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Geddes on Wednesday, September 25.

According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Wayne Wescott was walking on John Glen Boulevard on Wednesday in the early morning when a car hit him and left the scene.

Sheriff’s say the hit-and-run happened near Route 370 (Cold Springs Road).

Wescott was found severely injured on the side of the road by sheriff’s deputies after people in the area called 911. Wescott was taken to Upstate Hospital where he is listed in critical condition

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Major Crime Unit is asking for help locating the car involved in the hit-and-run. The car has been described as a dark-colored 2019-2022 Nissan Altima.

Anyone with information about a Black or dark-colored Nissan Altima 2019-2022 with damage is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 315-435-3081. People can also text tip411 to remain anonymous.
