WATERVLIET, NY (WRGB) – An Albany man faces felony drug charges after a traffic stop in Watervliet Wednesday. At approximately 4:32 p.m. Wednesday, members of the Albany County Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort conducted a traffic stop in the area of the exit 8 ramp of Interstate 787 northbound in the City of Watervliet for a traffic violation. An investigation found that the operator, Dasir A. Sims, 23, was in possession of approximately 17.5 grams of cocaine, which was intended for distribution. Sims was also found to have a quantity of fentanyl and more than three ounces of cannabis.
