Man arrested in Randolph County previously wanted in Arkansas for sexual assault involving minor

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A wanted man from Arkansas was recently arrested in Asheboro for alleged sexual assault involving a minor, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office reports.

According to a news release, on Tuesday, the RCSO Criminal Investigations Division was asked to serve a warrant from the West Fork Police Department in Arkansas for felony second-degree sexual assault involving a minor to a man believed to be in Randolph County.

On Thursday, Shay Vincent Brammeier, 29, of Washington County, Arkansas, was arrested and taken to the Randolph County Detention Center.

He was issued a $25,000 secured bond. Brammeier will appear in court on Friday.
