Bad weather closes down parts of Knoxville, so pass the time with these Knox News stories

Hurricane Helene is blowing in storms into Knoxville, and it’s causing a whole mess.

Attractions are closed , schools have closed and roads have closed . At least Morgan Wallen held his concerts last week, so no worries about getting flooded out of Neyland Stadium.

Now what?

Don’t venture out today or make unneccesary journeys unless you need to get something. With winds picking up, it’s going to become more dangerous today along with the slick roads. Grab some supplies and hunker down today if you can by watching some Netflix or reading some Knox News stories to pass the time.

It would be treacherous to travel in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park right now, but when a good opportunity arrives, you could visit Kuwohi, newly renamed to honor the Cherokee people . The site was formerly known as Clingmans Dome.
