Fall festivals coming to the Kansas City area

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Pumpkin Spice, apple orchards and cooler weather. It’s not just the leaves changing colors but there will also be fall festivals happening throughout the Kansas City metro.

Here are some of the festivals you can look forward to:

Kansas City Renaissance Festival

Sept 28-29, Oct. 5-6 and Oct. 12-14

The Kansas City Renaissance Festival, a Kansas City Fall tradition, opens September 2nd and runs weekends through Oct. 15 in Bonner Springs.

The Kansas City Renaissance Festival is like walking through the gates of time to another age where guests from around the metro, the Midwest, the country and sometimes the world get a taste of 16th-century life.

  • Sept 28-29 and Oct. 5-6: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Oct. 12-14: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

GloWild

Sept. 6-Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 – Dec. 29

This popular lantern festival returns to the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium for the first year, but this time with a new theme, GloWild: Legends & Lore.
