DHS to Invest Over $4 Million to Promote Collaboration Between Behavioral and Physical Health Care Providers in Rural and Medically Underserved Communities

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Today, Department of Human Services (DHS) Secretary Dr. Val Arkoosh announced that DHS’ Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) received a grant from the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) to promote coordination of behavioral health care services in primary care settings such as doctors’ offices.
