Billionaire Bernie Marcus Lists Atlanta Condo for $5 Million

Bernard “Bernie” Marcus, co-founder of Home Depot, is parting with his luxurious three-bedroom condo in Atlanta, now on the market for $5 million. This expansive 5,700-square-foot residence is perched on the 37th floor of a Park Avenue condo tower in the prestigious North Buckhead neighborhood, offering breathtaking views of downtown Atlanta and the surrounding mountains from nearly every room.

In a heartfelt statement, the 95-year-old Marcus shared, “Atlanta holds a special place in my heart. This city will always be part of me, and my commitment to its growth, well-being, and success will continue on.” Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Marcus has long considered Atlanta his home, where he co-founded Home Depot in 1978 with Ken Langone and Arthur Blank. The first store opened in the city in 1979, and Marcus served as CEO until 1997, continuing as chairman until his retirement in 2002.

Beyond his business accomplishments, Marcus is also recognized for his extensive philanthropic efforts through the Marcus Foundation, which has contributed over $1 billion to various Atlanta causes and institutions.
