IOWA CITY, Iowa– The Hawkeye defense hasn’t been what most people expected early this season. It has been far from a failure, but the expectations were as high as any team in the country. Iowa allowing a few explosive passing plays has been the most surprising stat of the season. The Hawkeyes couldn’t muster up one final stop against Iowa State to seal the game and also gave up a pair of deep passing plays to Troy.
