FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) said it fired and charged a former sergeant for assaulting a suspect in the back of a cruiser.
Sgt. Joshua Silver was captured on in-car video punching a handcuffed man who was arrested and brought to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on Sept. 11.
In the video , the man was filmed yelling expletives at the officers with a spit bag on his head.
Silver opened the door and the man demanded they take the bag off his head.

“Quit shining that [flash]light on me boy,” he yelled before spitting at Silver.
