The New York Giants fell short against division opponent the Dallas Cowboys, losing 20-15 at MetLife Stadium. The Giants moved the ball well throughout the game, their inability to finish drives with six-points proved costly. Instead, New York had to settle for field goals in crucial moments, stalling their offensive momentum and allowing Dallas to maintain control.
Daniel Jones completed 29 of 40 passes for 281 yards, connecting frequently with receiver Malik Nabers, who would leave the game late in the 4 th quarter with a head injury. Despite this, the Giants’ offense struggled to break through the Cowboys’ defense when it mattered most.
“We just didn’t execute in those positions,” Jones said postgame . “We got behind the sticks with penalties and unforced errors. I thought we moved the ball well, but we didn’t finish.”
The lack of six-point drives left New York playing catch-up for much of the game. Despite amassing 303 total yards, the Giants were held to just 26 rushing yards, making their offense one-dimensional and easier to defend despite the Cowboys battling multiple key injuries on the defensive side of the ball throught the game.
