A section of Route 17 remained closed Friday afternoon following a water main break in Paramus.
The incident affected the southbound section of the highway north of Midland Avenue as of 11:44 a.m., according to 511nj.org . The right lane and shoulder were closed as a result of the break.
The area was still shut down as of 12:45 p.m.
