STUART, Fla. – A home on SE Cortez Street in Stuart was destroyed Thursday morning when a tree fell directly on top of it. “I was asleep. I was asleep on the couch,” said Max Velacequec, a resident of the home. “Roof fell in and hit me in the head, and I woke up. I looked around. I saw the whole wall was broken. I realized something fell on top of me.”
