A woman who was trapped inside a Jeanerette trailer July 25 while police attempted to serve a warrant says she feels lucky to be alive after a barrage of bullets that day resulted in the death of a Lafayette police officer. She said she believes it was bullets from other police officers that fatally struck Lafayette SWAT officer Senior Corporal Segus Jolivette.
