UPDATE: The software the Maryland Lottery uses is updated on a recurring basis. Thursday’s software update “did not operate as expected, which interrupted our ability to sell and cash tickets for several hours last night,” according to Seth Elkin, managing director of the State Lottery & Gaming Control Agency.
