GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Firefighters extinguished an air conditioner fire at a home in southeast Gainesville today, preventing the fire from spreading to the house.
At about 1:44 p.m. today, units from Alachua County Fire Rescue and Gainesville Fire Rescue responded to a report of a house fire in southeast Gainesville. Firefighters found an air conditioning unit outside the house that was on fire; crews quickly deployed a hose to put out the fire before it could spread to the house.
There were no injuries.
