Knicks trade for Timberwolves superstar center Karl Anthony-Towns

The New York Knicks have traded for Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl Anthony-Towns, per Shams Charania . The Knicks are sending Donte DiVincenzo, Julius Randle, and a first-round pick to Minnesota.

The Timberwolves were also rewarded with cap space, and a first round pick that was originally the Detroit Pistons ’ giving it high value. Randle will take over the spot KAT left in the rotation as the four, and DiVincenzo will either start or become their sixth man.

KAT is a superstar, and one of the best big men in the league. In his career, the multiple-time All-Star has averaged 23 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, a block and almost a steal a game. And for him, this trade was totally unexpected as per his X account.

The Knicks are getting another shooter for their team, making their offensive scheme a nightmare to defend against. The 2016 ROTY has a career three-point percentage of 40%, making him one the best shooting bigs in the NBA.

The Knicks are going all-in this season, acquiring two superstars in KAT and Mikal Bridges, sacrificing their future in return.
