Drunk driver with three prior DWI convictions now charged with murder for fatal crash

HOUSTON, TX – According to Case No. 1777489 filed in Harris County District Court, German Sebastian Nunez is charged with felony murder in connection with a fatal crash back on June 30, 2022. A felony indictment was filed on September 26, 2024.

Court records state that Nunez, who had previously been charged for his 3rd DWI (Case No. 155956501010 in Harris County District Court) was driving a vehicle over the speed limit, failing to maintain a single lane, and failing to keep a proper lookout when his vehicle collided with another occupied by Eric Andrew Krueger. The crash resulted in the death of Krueger.

According to the Eric Krueger Foundation, “The world lost a truly great person in June of ’22. Eric Krueger was the victim of a drunk driver. Eric was returning from a midday meeting when his vehicle was struck head on by the drunk driver. Eric was only 47 years old, husband to a loving wife and father of two wonderful girls.”

Nunez remains in custody, and bond has not been set at this time. Further updates will be provided as the case progresses.
