Health Dept Issues a Public Swim Advisory for the Waters of Arnica and Perdido Bays

Includes Arnica Bay at Pirate’s Cove and Perdido Bay at Kee Ave. Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) has issued a public swim advisory for the waters of Arnica Bay at Pirate’s Cove and Perdido Bay at Kee Avenue due to poor water quality. Successive tests revealed elevated levels of enterococcus bacteria, which may increase the risk of illness for swimmers. The advisory will remain in effect until bacteria levels return to safe thresholds set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
