Virginia Tech Head Coach’s Six-Word Response to Miami Controversy

Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry used six words to describe the controversial finish to his team’s game against the Miami Hurricanes.

On Friday night, the Hokies faced the Hurricanes in a game that the entire college football community was watching. The reason? The incredible finish. Many are already calling it the best ending of the college football season so far.

Virginia Tech held a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter against the seventh-ranked team in the nation. However, Miami stormed back to go up 38-34 before the game came down to the final play.

Hokies quarterback Kyron Drones threw up a Hail Mary from the Miami 30-yard line in hopes of stealing a huge upset on the road.

In what initially looked like an incompletion with the ball rolling free, the officials called the ruling on the field a touchdown for Virginia Tech. Hokies wide receiver Da’Quan Felton came down with the football in a crowd of players.

The play went to a lengthy review, and the officials overturned it, resulting in the Hurricanes’ victory.
