Storms End Tonight with a 50/50 Weekend Ahead

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The remnants of Helene will continue to bring rain tonight, but severe impacts will mainly be coming to an end. The weekend is a bit of a mixed bag. We dry out Saturday, with warmer weather in the upper 70′s and low 80′s with a mix of sun and clouds, but Sunday through next week doesn’t look quite so nice. An upper level low will absorb the remnants of Helene, and slowly track eastward. With that, we’ll see daily rain through next Wednesday. The good news in all of this rain, is that we’ll likely see drought conditions coming to an end. As next week comes to an end, we should see the low shifting offshore leaving us with plenty of sunshine and mild fall weather. Check back for updates.
