Vance to campaign in Marne on Wednesday, Harris in Flint on Friday

WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Vice presidential nominee U.S. Sen. JD Vance and Vice President and presidential nominee Kamala Harris will be in Michigan this week, their campaigns announced.

On Wednesday, Vance will campaign in Marne at the Berlin Raceway and Entertainment Complex, the Trump-Vance campaign said. He will be discussing the economy and inflation. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets can be reserved on the campaign’s website .

The Harris-Walz campaign told News 8 that Harris will be speaking in Flint on Friday. No additional information was released.

Former President Trump talks immigration, economy in Walker

These visits come less than a week after former President Donald Trump was at FALK Production in Walker. Vice presidential nominee and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has also campaigned in Michigan in recent weeks.

Michigan is a vital state on the path to the White House. A poll conducted by Emerson College Polling, The Hill and WOOD TV8 released last week indicated a tight race in Michigan: 49% of those surveyed said they would vote for Vice President Kamala Harris and 47% said they would vote for former President Donald Trump. With the poll’s margin of error at plus or minus 3.2%, that’s a statistical dead heat.
