Greece officer’s rifle found in Buffalo results in two arrests

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Two Buffalo men have been arrested after an AR-15-style rifle, which had been stolen from a Greece Police officer’s personal vehicle, was recovered in Buffalo.

According to GPD, the rifle was stolen on July 9 from the officer’s vehicle between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. when it was parked at an ESPORTA on West Ridge Road in Greece.

Officers say 41-year-old Pierre McCullen and 53-year-old Christopher McCullen have been charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree, Grand Larceny in the third degree, and Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree.

Greece Police say both men had prior criminal convictions. The arrests were made as a result of an ongoing investigation by Greece Criminal Investigation Division Detectives with assistance from the Buffalo Police Department.

News 8 has reached out to Greece Police Department to determine whether or not any disciplinary actions will be taken against the officer who had the weapon stolen from his vehicle and have not yet received a response.
