Mobile police seek help in solving alleged lawn mower, leaf blower theft at Lowe’s

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — The Mobile Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a man in connection to a July retail theft at Lowe’s.

According to a department spokesperson, the theft allegedly occurred in July, and officers were notified of the incident on Sept. 5, 2024.

The department provided the video in the player above. The following photos are screengrabs from the video, which police say shows an incident that happened on July 27, 2024, at Lowe’s, located at 151 E. I-65 Service Road South.

Police said that the video surveillance showed that the man loaded unpaid merchandise, including a leaf blower and a lawn mower, onto a cart, showed employees a piece of paper that he claimed was a receipt for the items, exited the store despite employee confrontation, and loaded the merchandise into a silver Nissan Versa.
