Matt Rhule and Nebraska are eager to play Purdue

Nebraska Head Coach Matt Rhule spoke to the media this week about playing Purdue and his thoughts on Kydran Jenkins.

Early thoughts on playing Purdue?

Matt: This week it is just about being dialed into all the different things that Purdue does. Because they’ve really had two different offenses this year so that adds a little bit of versatility to our preparation. We know that Devin Mockobee is as good a player as there is in the Big Ten. They have a really great offensive line and I love the way they play. Then defensively, they have a difficult scheme and excellent players. And they also do a nice job with special teams. So it’s going to be a tremendous battle and we’ll just have to try and make one more play than they make.

What jumps out about Purdue linebacker Kydran Jenkins?

Matt: Just the way he plays, he plays really relentlessly and physical. He’s leading the Big Ten in sacks per game. When he’s out there, they really have six threats to rush the passer.
