Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders Let’s Critics Know He Keeps Receipts for Everything

Heading into Saturday’s matchup against heavily favored UCF (the Knights were a 13.5-point favorite), Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was taking notes of everyone who picked against the Buffaloes.

And yes, that includes former Alabama head coach Nick Saban, who picked UCF to beat CU on “College GameDay,” much to the dismay of his wife Terry.

Sanders had the last laugh, however, after Colorado left FBC Mortgage Stadium with a 48-21 upset victory. The senior QB also had his most efficient performance of the season, hitting on 28 of 35 passes for 290 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.

Despite being a big road underdog, Sanders admitted in his post-game press conference that he tunes out any of the outside noise and remembers what motivates him, and that’s proving everyone wrong who’s ever doubted him. And yes, he keeps receipts.

“By remembering that you was just an HBCU kid who couldn’t do it on a Power-5 level,” Sanders said . “That’s really what it was. I don’t forget anything, I don’t forget what anybody ever said (about me), and personally, I’m not one to make friends or feel like just because success is going on now I’m going to forgive everybody. No; whatever you said at any point in time, I’m not really a forgiving type.”
