Single-vehicle crash in Fowler claims one life

FOWLER, CA ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A vehicle’s driver died Saturday following a single-vehicle crash in the City of Fowler, police say.

The collision was reported just after 12:30 p.m. at Tuolumne and 4 th Streets.

Officers say they arrived to find community members performing CPR on the sole occupant of the vintage pickup truck that had collided with a tree.

First responders say despite life-saving efforts, the driver died at the scene.

Fowler police will continue to work with the California Highway Patrol to investigate the incident.

The roadway was closed for a few hours while the crash was investigated but has since reopened.

The driver’s identity has yet to be released, pending next-of-kin notification.
