NEW PALESTINE, Ind. — The New Palestine Police Department has arrested a woman for drug dealing resulting in death.

According to a Facebook post from NPPD , officers were called to the 4500 block of South 500 West for a welfare check on Oct. 19, 2023. The person who asked police to come to the area indicated a possible medical emergency was taking place inside a residence.

Police reported that the caller, later identified as 38-year-old Stephanie Schofield, fled the scene.

When officers made it to the area, they found an unresponsive male, who was later identified as Jerry Moore II by NPPD. Law enforcement reported that Moore II did not have a pulse when first responders found him.
