NYC dog lovers demand cops ‘find and prosecute’ sicko who tossed pup down 17-story trash

The heartless sicko who tossed a poor pup down the garbage chute of a Lower Manhattan high-rise last month is still running free — and Big Apple dog lovers are barking for justice.

The NYPD said this week that cops are still investigating but hadn’t made any arrests in the disturbing Aug. 23 incident in which a shih tzu was thrown down a 17-story trash chute inside the Gov. Alfred E Smith Houses, a NYCHA complex near the Brooklyn Bridge.

The pooch, who broke all four legs from the fall, was yelping and clinging to life when a building employee discovered it in the compactor around 10:30 a.m. It was handed off to the ASPCA for treatment, but could not be saved.
