After loading the bases due to a single and two walks, Third Baseman Joey Ortiz hit a two-run single for the first runs of the game. Quintana would have a decent night surrendering two earned runs over 4.1 innings of work and striking out a season-high nine batters.

The New York Mets entered Milwaukee with their season hanging in the balance, and through two games, have not been up to the task.
