Southwest Airlines Expands Redeye Flights from Hawaii to Mainland U.S. to Nevada, Arizona

Southwest Airlines is giving night owls more options to fly as it expands redeye service from Hawaii to the U.S. mainland starting April 8, 2025. With five new overnight routes, the carrier aims to boost connectivity from the islands to key Southwest hubs, offering late-night travelers a convenient way to reach their destinations.

Southwest’s new redeye routes will include daily flights from Honolulu and Kahului (Maui) to Las Vegas and Phoenix, as well as service from Kona (Hawaii Island) to Las Vegas. These flights are part of the airline’s continued commitment to growing its Hawaii network, allowing customers to reach dozens of mainland destinations with fewer layovers and more flexibility.

The redeye expansion is part of Southwest’s broader schedule update, which extends customer bookings through June 2025 and introduces new routes from Nashville as well. This increase in overnight service gives travelers from Hawaii more options to arrive at their destinations by morning, capitalizing on the convenience of flying while they sleep.
