A 16-year-old student was arrested in Central Florida following a tip about a student bringing a firearm to Wharton High School. On September 18th at approximately 9am, an Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office School Resource deputy assigned to Wharton High School in Tampa received a tip from a concerned parent about a student potentially being in possession of a gun at the school.
