Travis Hunter’s Heisman campaign rages on in CU Buffs’ dominant win over UCF Notebook

ORLANDO, Fla. — It’s almost like Travis Hunter is firing up the video game he’s on the cover of when he takes the field every Saturday.

Only what Hunter is doing in a Colorado uniform week in and week out isn’t done with a controller. It’s reality.

In the state in which he was born, Hunter continued his Heisman Trophy campaign with another dominant display on both sides of the ball.

His record-setting streak of games with 100 or more receiving yards was snapped at five, but he still had nine catches for 89 yards and a touchdown. Oh, and he grabbed his second interception of the season.

Afterward, he let everyone know that there’s a little award called the Heisman Trophy that he’s got his eye on by striking the iconic pose.

“This is who he is, man,” coach Deion Sanders said. “It’s just that simple. He’s that kind of a kid. I can’t wait to see him continuously play.”

Will Sheppard has breakout game

Quarterback Shedeur Sanders told one of his favorite targets that his breakout game was coming.

“This the week,” Shedeur said he told Will Sheppard.
