“This is not a laughing matter” – Scottie Pippen once accused a 5-year-old of causing a six-figure damage to his property

For current and former NBA players, investing their wealth in the real estate rental market is a smart move. However, this path can sometimes lead to significant challenges, as Scottie Pippen can attest.

In 2018, the Chicago Bulls icon filed a lawsuit against a family renting one of his properties. The case also involved the family’s five-year-old daughter, who was accused of causing damage to his villa in Florida.

“While the damages sought is clearly not limited to the damage caused by minors and pets, which alone were material, this is not a laughing matter, and causing six-figure damage to someone else’s house is both morally and legally wrong,” said Pippen’s attorney, Jason Giller, at the time, per Bleacher Report .

Turbulent tenure at Pippen’s mansion?

The family, consisting of Lindsay Glazer Woloshin, her husband Jacob, and their child, reportedly moved into Pippen’s property around September 2017. Beforehand, Hurricane Irma had destroyed their own home. They paid about $30,000 a month for their new luxury residence in upscale Fort Lauderdale, which was valued at an impressive $10 million.
