First Alert Weather: A bright end to September, cooler weather on the horizon

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The last Sunday of September will be another warm one in northern and central Wisconsin. Wall-to-wall sunshine is on tap, with above-average temperatures for afternoon readings. The quiet weather sticks around Sunday night and on Monday. A cold front will slide through the region Monday night without too much fanfare. Most noticeable on Tuesday will be the cooler conditions, along with a brisk northwest wind. Milder weather then returns on Wednesday and stays breezy. Temperatures late this week will be topping out mainly in the 60s. There is a chance of showers next weekend.
