Man arrested after alleged assault, trespassing incidents at Clark College

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A man was arrested after allegedly trespassing on the Clark College campus in Vancouver and assaulting a female staff member early Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

Just after 1 p.m., Vancouver Police first responded to Clark College and met with campus security. They claimed that at around 7 a.m., a student reported a man had followed her when she got off the bus, asked for her age and “made comments that made her feel uncomfortable and scared,” officials said.

After taking the student’s report, security checked surveillance video and allegedly saw the man masturbating in a common area of the campus, authorities said.

At around 4:30 p.m., Vancouver Police say they were once again dispatched to Clark College when they heard reports then man was back on campus and had “slapped a female staff member on the backside.”

Before officers arrived, campus security reportedly found the man in one of the bathrooms, but he managed to push past them and leave campus grounds.
