Billy Bowman spoke to the media after the game about the touchdown from Kip Lewis and why this was a must win game for Oklahoma.
What was your perspective on Kip’s touchdown?
Billy: Kip, that’s a guy who doesn’t have an on/off switch. He’s always on and he always comes ready to practice and play every single day. What Kip did today, great play, huge play. That was destined for him to make that because he puts in the time, work and preparation. And it paid off for him with a huge play.
Can this win galvanize the team? Can this thing flip a season the way that you guys won?
Billy: I totally believe wins can flip a season. This was a must win [game]. You have to win this. If you don’t, you’re going into a bye week, you’ll sit on the loss and you’ll be 3-2. We came out here and did it and now we’re going into the bye with great preparation and we’ll be ready for our next opponent.
