WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – Evan Zhen, 14, believes more kids his age should engage with local issues. After winning multiple competitions testing his civics knowledge, Evan will represent Michigan in the National Civics Bee in Washington, D.C. Although the bee will take place in the nation’s capital, his focus is local.
