Crazy Horse Memorial celebrates the Tatanka with a new event

CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL, S.D. – The American bison goes by many names. Many call it “buffalo” but to the indigenous people of South Dakota, it is Tatanka. For millennia, the American bison has been the primary food source for the Lakota, Nakota and Dakota peoples. In observance of its cultural significance, the Crazy Horse Memorial held its first Honoring the Tatanka day.
