One killed, one critically wounded near Canoga Park apartments

CANOGA PARK (CNS) – A shooting near some apartment buildings in Canoga Park left one man fatally wounded and another in critical condition, authorities said Sunday.

Both victims were in their early 20s, according to Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.

The shooting occurred at about 11:40 p.m. Saturday in the 8300 block of Northgate Avenue, near the intersection of Roscoe and Topanga Canyon boulevards, Cervantes said.

Paramedics rushed both men to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead and the other was listed in critical condition.

Police had no motive or suspect information.
