As September comes to a close. athletes from Salem- and Keizer-area high schools have delivered another week of standout performances.
This week’s Maps Credit Union High School girls Athlete of the Week nominees are:
- Nelida Dalgas, North Salem cross-country
- Talia Jones, South Salem soccer
- Khloe Livingston, Sprague volleyball
- Clara Persons, Salem Academy cross-country
- Kelsey Rodli, Dallas cross-country
- Braelyn Walter, Silverton soccer

Nelida Dalgas, North Salem cross-country
Dalgas, a junior, finished third at The Mook XC Invite at Alderbook on Sept. 21 with a personal-best mark of 17 minutes, 4 seconds on the 5,000-meter course.
She now owns the third-fastest time in the state of Oregon and the 13th-fastest time in the U.S. this season.

The sophomore forward bagged a hat trick Sept. 24 to lead the Saxons to a 3-1 win over West Albany.
