Lubbock business news includes 2 openings, Ports-to-Plains update

Hello A-J readers!

This week we had two business openings, along with some potential progress on upcoming developments.

On Thursday, we leaned that the Federal Highway Administration and the Texas Transportation Commission approved the 4.2-mile expansion of I-27 between Lubbock and Lamesa. This is part of the ongoing Ports-to-Plains Corridor.

The Brass Tap, 11108 Slide Road, Suite 600, opened on Monday, Sept. 23. Wild Honey Hats, 4620 50th St., also completed the move to their new location on Friday.

Going into next week, I’m eagerly awaiting more information on a large development involving cheese and millions of dollars. The September monthly roundup will also go out on Tuesday, so keep an eye out for that to see what closed, opened and announced for the month.

The holidays are fast approaching as well, so we are preparing a slew of articles that will help readers find meals, gifts and hopefully some peace in the busy times.

As always, thank you for reading and supporting the A-J.
