LAYTON – A woman is dead and a 3-year-old boy was airlifted with critical injuries after a police chase on I-15 resulted in a crash early Sunday. At about 7:30 a.m., a Utah Highway Patrol trooper spotted a Dodge Caravan police had been looking for and attempted to pull the vehicle over, but he woman driving the van fled, according to UHP Capt. Chris Simmons. The van attempted to exit I-15 at Antelope Drive in Layton but rolled due to the high rate of speed, he said.
