An investigation led LPD to arrest 29-year-old Kathryn Grace Copeland on Saturday. She was booked into the San Joaquin County jail for alleged abandonment of a deceased newborn and other related charges.

“An incident like this can be difficult and evoke a wide range of emotions,” LPD said. “Not only does it affect our community but also our first responders, including our officers, dispatchers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel. Please remember that several organizations and resources are available to help those in need.”
