AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department is investigating a deceased person in downtown Austin near Lady Bird Lake. APD said in a Sunday afternoon briefing that Austin 911 received a call around 2:02 p.m. Sept. 29 about a man waving his arms, punching and behaving erratically at the lake near Cesar Chavez and Nueces Street. The caller also reported the man entered the water and did not resurface.
