BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A special birthday celebration was held in northwest Bakersfield Friday afternoon for Maxine La Mott.
Maxine turned 100 years old on Friday Sept. 27, and was given the royal treatment by family at her home. La Mott, who was born in Lost Hills, says the secret to a long, happy life is clean living. She doesn’t drink or smoke.
Maxine has two children, five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
