Crime of Week: Man killed in hit-and-run crash in Lower Valley

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department (EPPD) need your help in finding the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead last week in El Paso’s Lower Valley.

This is this week’s featured “Crime of the Week,” as publicized by Crime Stoppers.

As KTSM previously reported, a 34-year-old man was struck twice after crossing the road Tuesday night, Sept. 24 along the 7200 block of Alameda.

Pedestrian dies after being struck twice in Lower Valley

At 7:30 p.m. Sept. 24, Emmanuel Torres, 34, was struck by a truck and knocked to the ground, according to Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers said a second truck hit Torres and killed him, and the driver of that second truck fled the scene. The driver of the first truck remained at the scene, police and Crime Stoppers said.

The only description of the second truck that investigators have is that it was a white pickup, according to Crime Stoppers.
