Mitchell Robinson is Last Knick Standing

The New York Knicks have made yet another blockbuster trade, and it makes their roster look a lot different than it already did.

The team will send Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, and a first-round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns. As a result, The Knicks roster is entirely different than just a few seasons ago.

Following the news of the trade, the Knicks starting center last season, Mitchell Robinson took to social media top draw attention to a very interesting fact.

He posted a photo of the Knicks’ roster from the 2020-21 season, with everyone else in black and white except himself. He is the last remaining member of that team, who broke the Knicks’ seven-year playoff drought.

After RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley were traded to the Toronto Raptors, Randle and Robinson were the two remaining members of that team. Now that Randle is in Minnesota, it is just Robinson that has been left standing.

A post like this could mean that Robinson is not content with the way that things have played out, or it could just be him reminiscing. Either way, the Knicks will be hoping that he can get back from injury quick and make his impact felt on defense immediately.
